The second iDOO unit is identical to the first. Except it's black, like the QYOs it replaces. Also, the baskets and sponges are short, that's one on the left, while the other iDOOs come with the longer baskets and sponges on the right.
For the sake of comparison, here is the white iDOO (with light abating cellophane). Most of the pods are AeroGarden pods. They stick up just a bit. Everything I plant in the black unit will be in iDOO baskets, though I may steal the sponges and seeds from AeroGarden pods.
Meanwhile, I ate a salad for brunch harvested from the Rouge d'Hiver in the right Aerogarden Harvest. The three in the foreground still show no sign of germinating, nor does the Mint obscured by the large red romaine.
The left AeroGarden Harvest is doing very well. All six romaine pods have germinated. The back three even have their domes removed. The others will follow soon. I can't explain the difference in tint between this photo and the one above. Both units wear the same red film.
There will be an update to this post when I've decided what to plant in the new unit.

I had this un-opened kit that came with the second AeroGarden Harvest. "Gourmet Herbs Seed Pod Kit." I decided to plant those six pods, after transferring the sponge and seeds to an iDOO basket and aftermarket cover.. The kit includes:
Thyme
Dill
Thai Basil
Genovese Basil
Curly Parsley
Mint
