Impulse Shopping for the Garden

The Sprout arrived early (yesterday) and I set it up with a reservoir and three Romaine Lettuce seed pods.

I've harvested additional ripe tomatoes from the Heirloom Red Cherry Tomato plant and more are blooming.

Ranch Four continues to nourish two bell pepper plants, one red and one yellow. The second one is very slow.

I suffered an impulse. Amazon offered an AeroGarden Sprout for $30.00. That was nearly irresistible. Here is a picture:

It may be obvious from the photo that this a three-pod unit. My four other AG units are six-pod Harvests. The lights may only be raised to ten inches. My Harvests go higher, and most have been modified to go higher still. Ten inches should be sufficient for most lettuce plants.

There appears to be a plug suitable for attaching a reservoir, which would be my preference.

ETA is the week after Christmas.
