A Home Moanership November Update

Updated: Dec 3, 2023

2023-11-22

The kitchen area has updates. The curtaining of the Owner's Suite is complete.

"PAY NO ATTENTION TO

THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN!"

ANOTHER BAKER'S RACK HAS BEEN ADDED

YET ANOTHER BAKER'S RACK HAS BEEN ADDED

AND A NEW TOASTER OVEN

AND A NEW KEURIG

One might easily notice that the area of the kitchen on the curtain wall (literally a curtain wall) is more brightly lit than the closer area. Both are lighted by LEDs, but the closer part is just one or two bulbs of the overhead fan/light combo, while the back section is lit by five under-the-counter LEDs magnetically attached to the I-beam that supports the ceiling.

A previous update showed the cutlery on magnetic strips. The baker's rack also boasts a plethora of hooks from which to hang spatulas and serving spoons, not to mention the occasional tool or pair of scissors.

As can be witnessed, the few pot (there can be only one!) and pans dangle nicely as well.

Despite multiple outlets on the power strip, the breaker restricts me to a single cooking appliance at a time. The microwave or the toaster oven or the crockpot or the hotplate.

Older pictures showed a couple of "Kitchen Storage Cabinet/Pantry Cabinet with Doors" which I have grown unfond of. The newest baker's rack replaced one of them. Another baker's rack may replace the other in time.

Both the baker's racks and the storage shelves show have a plastic shelf liner in charcoal gray on each shelf. It turns out that if you cut a liner in half lengthwise, the half liners fit the half-shelves at the top of the baker's racks.

As of December 1, I have black and white shelf liners to supplement the charcoal, and all the hanging utensils have shifted around to make room for the new toaster oven and Keurig. Mr. Keurig has taken over all hot beverage duties.
