It should go without saying (as a failed dieter) that resistance against edible temptation is not my forte. When I look back at my diet diary, I see so many instances of not resisting when I should. This post was immediately preceded by a midnight breakfast of beer-batter-dipped fish fillets with tater tots and catsup. Fish is a good diet choice. Batter-dipped anything is contra-indicated. Potatoes are not the best choice, either. That diary includes meals with popcorn chicken or crispy chicken strips, neither of which resemble boneless skinless chicken breasts.

So many of my recipes include such ingredients, and to be sure, I am not throwing anything out. Using it up, yes.
